Boat Floaters - March 2019

Posted on
Welcome to March's Boat Floaters playlist, which is even more eclectic than usual – both in terms of musical genre and origin.
There are a couple of Brazilian dance tunes to get the blood pumping: a wonderful AtJazz do-over of the 1964 Tenorio Jr. classic Nebulosa from a couple of years ago; and Kapote's new one, Brasiliko.
Ghanian legend Ebo Taylor features early on, alongside Ebony Rose, with You Need Love, originally launched in 1980. What a happy seven minutes! Possibly the most unusual track in this month's playlist is Zindagi Meri Dance Dance, a Hindi song adapted from the 1987 Indian film Dance Dance. That is my find of the last month.
There are some all-time favourites for me in this playlist, too. They include Don't Challenge Me, Prisoner in Love, Could Heaven Ever Be Like This, Check the Vibe, and Do It To The Funk.
A hearty sprinkling of boxfresh music comes from Carlon Jumel Smith, Vibration Black Finger, Pinty, TITLE, DjeuhDjoah and Lieutenant Nicholson, and August Spies.
As ever, please let me know what you think – @meetbernardLDN or @boatfloaters on Twitter. I sincerely hope you enjoy the tunes.
Yours in music,
Ollie (Boat Floaters)
