Our Greenwich at Christmas

Posted on

It’s not long now before the big man with the white beard gets his gear on, so we wanted to take a moment to spin you through our beloved Greenwich at this time of year. There’s plenty to do, plenty to eat and drink and plenty for the whole fam.

First off, a mention to Grind Coffee who have recently housed up a couple of doors down; be sure to pay them a visit this Christmas; their flat whites are killer.

As you know, we’re huge fans of supporting local business and being one of the independent crew ourselves; we think it’s important to big up some of our neighbours.

A big shout out to Ben Oakley and his awesome little gallery off Turnpin lane; always great for a quick gander. (remember to swan by our place on your way out, we’re just across the road). Also a quick big up to an awesome local designer Claire Swindell, one of her pieces would make a standout Chrimbo gift.

The Cutty Sark ship is always looks beaut, all year round, but during the Christmas period they light her rigging as a Christmas tree with Santa climbing up.

If you're after a bit of grub, Goddard’s Pie & Mash is a must visit. Goddard’s has been run by the same family for nearly a hundred years and it’s stuff of local legend; best pies in London, too. For something a little more European, try Champagne and Fromage on the corner of the market... cheese and bubbles to die for.

Hopefully that gives you a little taster of what GRE is all about this time of year, we’re proud to call it home.

If you’ve still got some Christmas shopping to get through, check out our layering piece to give you some thought starters or drop our Greenwich store, where our staff will be happy to take you through some of our finest gifts.

Much love and Merry Christmas, The Meet Bernard Family x
