Returns & Exchanges
In accordance with the United Kingdom's Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations (2000), you have the right to cancel an order up to 14 working days after delivery, provided that the items are in their original condition, and all tickets and tags are attached.
Returns:If you are returning goods for a refund, the whole package should be sent to the address below. Please write 'cancel order' on the invoice. Your credit/debit card will be refunded (excluding original shipping costs) within three days of receipt, and the credit should be shown on your account within a few days.
Exchanges:If you are exchanging an item for a different size, all you need to do is specify the new size in the form on the delivery note. Unfortunately, only size exchanges can be offered. If you wish to exchange the item for an alternative style, then you should return it for a refund and purchase the new item separately.
Christmas Period: Over the Christmas period, we have extended the date to which you can exchange an item. Items purchased online from the 1st December 2012, can be exchanged for another size/colour provided stock available, up to 14th January 2013. If we do not have the additional item that you requested then a store credit note will be issued.
Please note: You are responsible for the cost of returning an item to us. We advise that the parcel is sent insured to the full value of the goods, and it should be ensured that the items are adequately packaged. If goods are damaged in transit as a result of their being inadequately packaged, it will not be possible to give a refund. Particular care should be taken with shoes, as the box is considered part of the product. Consequently, no refund or exchange can be made for shoes with damaged boxes.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
You should mark the parcel clearly 'Returned Items'. If this is not written on the package, Meet Bernard will be charged import taxes, with the cost being passed on to you.
Unwanted gifts:To return an unwanted gift, please contact email@example.com, and we will be happy to offer a credit note or size exchange if the item is returned within 14 days of purchase.
Faulty returns:If you believe an item purchased from Meet Bernard is faulty in any way, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We will aim to respond within 24 hours and advise you as to how to proceed. Please do not return the item to us until we have responded to your email. Any item that is found not to be faulty and that is returned before our acknowledgment will be returned to the sender at their own expense.
