Meet Bernard has sourced some of the best Farah items from one of our favourite menswear brands. Each season, Meet Bernard will bring the best of Farah to the online store. Hopefully, we have done all the searching for you and found the best in streetwear and men's fashion that Farah has to offer.

The Farah brand was born in Texas in the 1920's by Mansour Farah, a design graduate who studied shirt design and manufacturing in New York. The Farah brand fast became a success and by the 1930's Farah diversified into producing denim work pants and later producing khaki combat pants adding to its shirting collection. By the late 1930's WW2 hit and Farah diversified by focusing its attention on production for the army and navy right up to the mid 1940's, resulting in the brand gaining the prestigious Army-Navy E award for design and contribution in WW2. From the 1950's onwards the Farah brand continued to grow gaining some of the best stockists across the US, finally reaching the UK in 1970 and becoming an instant hit with various movements in fashion, music and sport.

Through the years the brand became a staple item within the British man's wardrobe, and both the Mainline collection, now with a broader range with a greater depth of product and use of fabrics and the Vintage collection have broken from their roots in sub-culture into the mainstream with the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Agyness Dean, The Strokes and more recently Paolo Nutini supporting the brand.
