Having had a fantastic October (or should i say a Halloween ‘fangtastic’ ) with the weather hitting above 20c at times, we haven’t had much chance to put on our winter warmers. Now the clocks have gone back and I’m sure, Jack Frost will be lurking around, we thought we’d let you know of some Winter highlights.

When it comes to Winter, Penfield is always a safe bet. Penfield’s 60/40 – cotton/nylon combination fabric is perfect for outdoor conditions, because of its tightly woven construction it is classified as downproof and windproof making it as useful in the elements as for every day use. Two new beastly-boots are now online to keep your toes toastie.

Now a staple part of the Ransom collaboration collection, the Persona-Crest; A heavy canvas upper, gusseted tongue and lace locks making it a hard wearing boot, this year they’ve also added a wool lined toe area and put in a neoprene ankle support meaning it also has a comfortable and secure fit.

If this boot was a mode of transport it would be a Sherman tank.

FARAH VINTAGE MAKES A BRIGHT COLOUR STATEMENT THIS AW11

The FARAH design team can always be called upon to use colour to brighten up a dull season and AW11 is no exception.  Bright colour pops can be seen across the collection used as a highlight and backdrop to patterns and textures.

This collection brings together all the pieces needed to create a stylish but practical winter wardrobe,  core staples like THE LLOYD, a jacquard print polo shirt are joined by new pieces in  THE HOPKINS duffle coat available in the striking all over tartan print or the muted palette of navy, dark earth and Khaki.

Outerwear is a key focus of the collection this season.  For a more formal style look to THE WORDSWORTH a classic Melton pea coat with traditional anchor buttons or THE HANBURY a single breasted traditional Mac with a water resistant coating and brushed flannel lining.   For casual days THE REDCHURCH is a cotton twill hunting jacket with a contrast courduroy collar or THE BANBURY, a coated cotton parka with tonal elbow patches.
