Hello lovely people of the web …
First of all we would like to inform you that our Greenwich shop is now open from 10h to 20h on Thursdays giving you plenty of time for some extra late night Christmas shopping or an ‘inspirational browse’ in the after work hours without the need to rush. Nice this Bernard, isn’t he?
Secondly, looking at this rather unpleasant weather out there we thought it would be a good idea to show you this A/W season’s Sailor Jackets. Bernard has quite a broad collection to offer, from somewhere in the waters of ‘smart’ to the ‘edgy’ territory, from functional to simple.
It is never easy to choose, especially from a collection like this fairly awesome Autumn/Winter 2010 one. To make your choice a bit easier here are listed four of Bernard’s favourites:
Number 1: The Farah ‘Hemmingway Jacket’
This jacket from one of our favourite brands stands out with its superior quality without the expected price tag coming with it. Its simple design makes it an easy all-rounder. At an equally outstanding £80 this is an affordable signature Farah vintage-style jacket.
Number 2: The Penfield ‘Kasson Jacket’
This beautifully functional benchmark parka jacket with Teflon coating features an array of pockets and surely is made for any rough weather outdoor use – exactly what Penfield knows to do best: Reliable, high quality gear for the fashion conscious outdoor fanatic. Wherever you go – you will love this jacket and its superior functionality and style.
Number 3: The Lyle&Scott ‘Fisherman’s Jacket’
This Vintage, made from cotton, ‘Fisherman’s Jacket’ stands out with its superior quality, as we would expect from Lyle&Scott but also thanks to its functionality and detailing, such as the removable light navy striped inner lining. This Jacket is a beauty and perfectly combines a smart style with functionality and outstanding quality.
Number 4: Garbstore, Mountain Providence Parka
Ok, the price tag is fairly scary but this is the ultimate treat for the ‘slightly overweight’ wallet. What you get is probably the best parka ever made! Made from recycled materials with love for detail out of this world, a result of supreme craftsmanship. This top-of-the-range parka perfectly and quite effortlessly combines functionality, quality and style in its own way, keeping this obvious vintage touch – combined with state-of-the-art materials. Wow!
