Bernard is going ‘Crimbo’ …

By mbcrew December 17, 2010.

Hi all,

It seems the snow and the cold are back in London –  snow minus the cold even
came through to Bernard thanks to Unkle Al’s outstanding skills. For those who
haven’t seen it yet, Unkle Al has graced us with his magic touch and created a
lovely showcase design giving Bernard’s store a nice white Christmas
feel, highlighting one of our specialities – outdoor wear.

Thank you very much Alex aka UnkleAl.co.uk.

Due to high demand, we restocked on Carhartt, Fred Perry and
Loake – which means Bernard gives you a second chance to get hold of that special
gift.

Also, we would like to inform you that our deadline for Christmas on-line orders is
Tuesday the 21st of December – to receive orders on time
for Christmas please ensure you order as soon as possible.

Enjoy the snow …

All the Best

Tonight designer and illustrator Alex Russel aka Unkle Al is coming down to arrange our Christmas-themed showcase. Really looking forward to what he is going to come up with and we are all very confident that it’s going to be darn good.

Once it’s done we will be uploading some pics to show you the result, until then feel free to check out Unkle Al’s website here and admire some of his work.

Fred Perry featured…

By mbcrew December 3, 2010.

There’s nothing quite as eccentric as an English eccentric. The emergence of the modern dandy, particularly in London but increasingly as a global trend, inspired the AW10 Authentic collection.  It’s an opportunity for Fred Perry men to add the flamboyance of traditional ‘peacock’ dressing to contemporary menswear staples such as slim leg trousers and rolled up chinos.

The silhouette is still sleek but the details are decidedly dapper. Rich, autumnal colours – mahogany, rust, hunting green, camel and mulberry – are given a fashion edge with blocks, panels, stripes, seams and tipping in fizzing hot pink, mandarin, bright lagoon, bright orange and fern green. Hues to give every modern fop a jaunty spring in his step.

Patterns and textures are typically English with Argyles, tartans, houndstooth checks, Prince of Wales checks, Tattersall checks, waxed cottons, cable knits, cotton twills and meltons alongside signature Fred Perry piqués. The dandy will take particular delight in aristocratic pindots, medallion prints and Paisleys straight out of a gentlemen’s club. Tie prints, small collars and elbow patches are a playful homage to the past; bow ties a styling essential.

As Fred Perry being one of our flagship brands Bernard would like to share the above featured with you,  showcasing the very nice 2010 Autumn/Winter collection. But at Bernard’s it is not only down to Fred Perry; we offer an equally beautifully styled Farah collection which can be easily freshened up with a bit of Carhartt or Penfield – and our beloved Pointers, Loake brogues or Red Wing boots.

See you soon …
